Our work in healthcare research continues, including the Supporting Fathers and Partners project with Dr Alka Kothari, ob/gyn and researcher extraordinaire!
Right now, we are preparing for national consultations on draft Best Practice Principles for fathers and partners experiencing challenging circumstances in pregnancy/childbirth.
Healthy Dads mean healthier families, and our wonderful lived experience co-design group has developed some amazing principles that we want to test in diverse groups to make sure they meet the needs of all fathers, partners and birthing families.
We have sessions for:
Mainstream Dads and partners - 16 Sept
Family members - including Mums and extended family - 17 Sept
LGBTQIA+ community members - 18 Sept
People with disabilities - 23 Sept
Culturally and linguistically diverse community members - 24 Sept
Rural and remote residents - 25 Sept
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (date tbc, hosted by Aboriginal men)
We want to hear your thoughts on the draft Principles in a simple, safe and welcoming online session that will last 1.5 hours.
Your input is valuable, you don't have to have any special knowledge, just a desire to contribute to healthy families. As a thank you, we’ll give you a $50 gift card.
This link and the QR code in the picture will take you to a form where you can register for any of the group sessions. Please join us and share this invitation. If you would like to share an invitation to one of the specific groups, please message Jane: [email protected]
