Declutter Tip #75

We’re digitally overwhelmed too, when was the last time you decluttered your phone/computer/tablet/online subscriptions/files/photos/mail …. The list seems endless.

Here are some things for you to think about decluttering:
Gather all devices, digital accessories and cull (all those random chargers that don’t charge anything)
Organise digital files
Delete unwanted photos/files/apps
Unsubscribe to mail
Unfollow pages and people on social media
Turning off notifications
**Make sure when getting rid of devices that you do properly get rid of data

Decluttering Tip #73

Don’t worry, there is no right and wrong way of doing it. This is your home and your lifestyle. Add in your own quirk and tradition. As long as you can maintain it and it brings peace to your home, go for it. It just has to make sense to you and your family.

Decluttering Tip #70

Sometimes it’s not just our physical space that needs a cull. Our schedules can also be overpacked and overwhelming. Consider what is important to your family. We had a family meeting and discussed what is important to us as a family, so we do things that reflect it and we say no to things that go against it. Don’t put things in your schedule because of FOMO.

This is our family’s values and we decide to do or not do things based on this. We just started this year and it’s been working so far. We’re being more intentional with our time.

What's important to you and your family?

Decluttering Tip #67

Consumerism problem: We own more than we need and each item takes our attention away from the item next to it - Emily Ley

This is why we get so overwhelmed with clutter. It is like every item has a voice demanding attention. It makes us distracted with all the “noise” and takes our focus away on what is important.
