Delivered by Overflow Foundation in partnership with Everthought College of Construction, the program combines nationally recognized training (Certificate 1 in Construction) with comprehensive support, creating a unique and impactful experience for participants.

Overflow Foundation is excited to continue to offer a second intake of the New Horizon Project, a dynamic 12-week initiative aimed at providing young individuals with the tools and support they need to thrive. This program is more than just a course; it's a comprehensive pathway designed to foster personal growth, develop valuable skills, and open doors to employment opportunities.

Key Features of the New Horizon Project:
The New Horizon Project stands out due to its holistic approach, combining practical training with essential life skills development. Here's a breakdown of the program's key components:

Certificate I in Construction (CPC10120): Participants will engage in hands-on training three days a week at Everthought College of Construction (RTO: 51681), gaining practical skills and a nationally recognized qualification in the construction industry.

We’ve been a little quiet online… but Overflow has been anything but quiet in real life. We’re excited to announce that referrals are now open for Overflow Foundation’s New Horizon Project – an empowering 8-week program starting July 29 that supports young people aged 15–24 who are disengaged from education, at risk of offending, or needing a positive new direction.

In partnership with Everthought College of Construction, participants will complete a Certificate I in Construction (3 days/week) and engage in a mix of mentoring, life skills, recreation, and substance misuse support available 5 days a week. The program is designed to build confidence, develop real-world skills, and open pathways to employment, apprenticeships, or further training – all within a youth-friendly and supportive environment at Wilbur Street Youth Centre, Logan.

This project is delivered under the Youth Skills program – part of the Queensland Government’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative, which provides nationally recognised training and support into employment to young people aged 15–24 who are disengaged from school, involved with Youth Justice or Queensland Police, or at risk of offending.
