🌸Letting Yourself Receive🌸

What are the things standing in your way of opening yourself to receive?

✋🏽 Perhaps you carry guilt around investing in something you're convinced is unnecessary.
👉🏽 If this is the case, it's probably been a while since you did something nice for yourself, or asked for someone to do something nice for you. Ask a friend to rub your shoulders, or take yourself to a spa for the day! Receiving can be as simple as asking, but often this is the hardest barrier to entry. Just know that by asking to receive, you are giving someone the opportunity to give to you. Trust that you deserve this!

✋🏽 It may be that you feel selfish or indulgent allowing someone else to make you feel good.
👉🏽 Giving yourself permission to receive is the simplest step toward self-love. The way we value ourselves reflects outward and shows others how worthy we are of being loved. Compliment yourself on your smile in the mirror. Be proud of the way you honour your commitments, you notice when your friend needs a hug, or you take the time to prepare good meals for your family! Recognise the value you bring, and you will recognise you deserve good things for being the queen or the king you are 👑

✋🏽 Maybe you feel that too many others depend on your limited time, and you can't afford to use that time for yourself.
👉🏽 It is impossible to show up fully for others if you do not give yourself room to recharge. Those who feel a constant need to please others are often the last ones to stand up for their own needs. You will be astonished by how much more energy you have for your loved ones when you give yourself space to regenerate! Put on that air mask first, and then see how much strength you have to help others!

If you hear yourself in any of these excuses, trust that you are worthy of receiving. 🌺 Introducing Laguz Bodywork 🌿

Laguz Bodywork is the embodiment of the elder futhark rune for “water” and “vitality” into the flowing, wavelike movements that characterise the Hawaiian KaHuna massage modality. In my practice, I bring together elements from both Norse and Hawaiian cultures to create a meditative and spiritual experience which will honour your body’s need to move its vital waters and clear itself of stagnant energy.

KaHuna massage is a bodywork modality that originates from the islands of Hawaii and incorporates the ‘secret knowledge’ (huna) of physical and spiritual techniques to provide a transformative healing experience for the receiver. The practitioner uses their hands, wrists, forearms and elbows to provide soft and deep tissue massage while moving around the table in a seamless, flowing dance. Chanting prayer and breathwork provide an additional dimension of healing by focusing the receiver’s attention and inviting them into the flow of the process, channeling both participants’ energies to their common goal: a divine remedial experience.
