Dr Lucy Moore is booking up in the next 7 days before sheโs on a weeks holiday.
Donโt be stuck on the fence about booking an appt because she will book out this week and the week she returns.
Our advice is always try to book a few weekly appointments ahead to make sure you secure a time that works for you. Itโs easier to reschedule if you donโt need the appointment but hard to create space to a full schedule ๐

๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ฑ๐ผ ๐๐ผ๐ ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ธ ๐๐ผ๐๐ฟ๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐น๐ฑ ๐๐ฎ๐? The key to moving out of chronic pain is to help your nervous system feel safe. Your brain (motherboard of the nervous system) needs to feel safe otherwise your fight or flight nervous system will be activated think youโre adrenal glands). Not feeling safe (real or perceived threat - the brain canโt tell the difference) can lead the nervous system to misinterpret or amplify pain in an attempted to protect you from โthreatโ.
This question, simple yet confronting. I encourage you to give yourself 5 mins (can be less) to sit down and honestly ask yourself this.
*hot tip - journaling can help to get the thoughts flowing (yes I know it may sound tedious or lame but how can you knock it if you havenโt tried it).
I donโt expect you to come up with the holy grail to your problems. It could how ever highlight some areas you could implement some small remedies to create a positive change.
Iโll be brave and give you an answer for me today - my nervous system may not feel safe because I havenโt had a day off in a few weeks with the QLD floods and running a biz. So it hasnโt had a change to not be on alertโฆ plus I havenโt been able to horse ride (injury) which is my โme timeโ. Solution? = schedule in some SMALL acts of self care so they can be frequent (5mins) and 1 larger fun activity so that I can bench my โworriesโ and emerge myself in joy.
SELF CARE- so important but Iโll do a post about that next!
