New Insights Into Aging: Not All Telomeres Are The Same 02/10/2024

Longevity and Anti-Ageing reseach is coming ahead in leaps and bounds! But it is still in it's infancy. There's still so much we don't know.

Take Telomeres for example - new studies have just discovered that Telomere length varies from chromosome to chromosome. This makes it difficult to determine your biological age or how close you are to disease or death.

Therefore - my focus is on 'upregulating' and 'modulating' TELOMERASE - the enzyme that repairs and protects your Telomeres.

You must work on preventing the premature shortening of your 'chomosomal endcaps' and promote the regenerative capabilities of your Telomeres.

I use therapuetic doses of Withania, Astragalus, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Ginseng, Green Tea, Allium, and St Marys Thistle to protect and lengthen your Telomeres.

Here is a simple explanation of the importance of Telomere therapy in Longevity medicine -

"Not all telomeres are the same length or degrade at the same rate, which significantly impacts diseases and longevity. Shorter telomeres are associated with ageing and an increased risk of age-related diseases such as cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neurodegenerative disorders. Uneven telomere shortening can lead to genomic instability, contributing to cell senescence or apoptosis. Conversely, maintaining telomere length may promote cellular health and longevity, potentially reducing the onset of certain diseases".

New Insights Into Aging: Not All Telomeres Are The Same Turns out, not all telomeres —the protective caps at the ends of our chromosomes— are the same: some are naturally shorter than others. What does this mean for aging?

True Longevity Medicine aims to reduce the progression of all 9 Hallmarks of Ageing.

To do this, you firstly need to concentrate on treating the signs of 'subhealth' - those markers we can see BEFORE disease begins - the top 3 being cardiovascular changes (blood pressure/blood lipids. circulation etc), metabolic changes (fatigue, fasting glucose, BMI, fitness etc), and mental state (sleep, stress, friendship issues, mood etc).

I test a large combination of biomarkers and lifestyle/epigentic factors one every Longevity Patient to determining how old they really are on the inside and what their actual healthy lifespan might be.

Interestingly, recent studies found that white-collar workers/middle class suffered the most from subhealth conditons and had 10 years less lifespan on average.

Some scientists are claiming that if you eliminate the top three subhealth issues you have, you will likely gain 15-30 extra healthy years!

Below is a good list to start with - How well you age is determined by how well you live 💪😍
