Exploring the Cycle of Fifths with the Jam Cyphr

Like so many of us through this weird and wonderful 2020 I revisited some old hobbies to pass the time. Picking up the guitar again I set myself the determined goal of finally grasping music theory. I wanted to graduate beyond the handful of tabs I'd learnt and found myself constantly reciting, I wanted to Jam with others, to improvise and stray from the incredibly narrow path I found myself stuck on. I found some great teachers on YouTube and followed along with their lessons, while flipping through the few music books and Apps I had referencing different Chord charts and scale diagrams to keep up. But still I felt like I was being taught these well established rules and patterns without sufficient explanation as to how or why they were created. Needless to say this did not sit well with me. So through this ill-content the Jam Cyphr was born.
