Our Early Careers Advisor Megan D’Alessandro recently took the stage at Energy Skills Queensland’s Spark Your Future event, where she delivered a keynote address highlighting the exciting opportunities available in our state.

“I’m proud to a part of a company that is not only committed to powering Queensland, but also to creating meaningful pathways and supporting people to grow.

“At the heart of CS Energy are our people, and we are passionate about developing the next generation of talent through our apprentice, trainee, and graduate program, and helping build the skills needed for Queensland’s energy future,” Megan said.

CS Energy provides meaningful career pathways, hands-on experience, and ongoing support through our apprentice, trainee, and graduate programs, helping young people build rewarding careers in the energy industry.

“As someone who works with apprentices, trainees, and graduates every day, I know how rewarding a career pathway in energy can be,” Megan said.

“Events like Spark Your Future strengthen the network by bringing together the people who can inspire, inform, and support the next generation of our workforce.”

Thank you to Energy Skills Queensland for bringing future employers and industry leaders together to showcase the many career opportunities available across Queensland’s evolving energy sector; and thank you to Megan for representing CS Energy.

Britt and Jimmy from our Kogan Creek Power Station team recently visited students at Chinchilla Christian College and Chinchilla State High School as part of the Chinchilla Community Commerce and Industry Inc - CCCI ’s BEST (Bringing Employers and Students Together) program, which connects local students with industry and career pathways and skills.

Their sessions focused on the importance of soft skills – the skills that employers value in every workplace, regardless of the role. Communication, teamwork, adaptability, problem-solving, reliability, and a positive attitude are often what helps young people transition successfully from the classroom to the workforce.

By sharing their own experiences and practical insights, Britt and Jimmy helped students better understand what employers look for, and why these skills can be just as important as technical qualifications.

As a large employer in regional Queensland, we know we have a responsibility that extends beyond powering homes and businesses – we also have a role to play in supporting the communities where we operate, and helping prepare the next generation for success.

We’re proud to support initiatives like the BEST program because investing in young people today helps build a stronger future workforce for our regions tomorrow.
