QCWA - Virtual Branch
Launched in 2025, it’s a flexible way to join the conversation and strengthen our communities alongside local branches.

Better late than never... a few more photos from FarmFest
A big thank you to the members and supporters who helped represent the QCWA Virtual Branch at this year's event. Between the conversations, questions, laughs and new connections, it was a fantastic opportunity to share what the Virtual Branch is all about.
One of the best things about our branch is that we're bringing women together from all corners of Queensland, and events like FARMFEST help us reach even more people who might be looking for connection, friendship, advocacy and community.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by for a chat, and to those who gave up part of their day to help on the stall. We couldn't do it without you.
We’re back at FarmFest for day 2, call in and say hi!

🚜 We’re off to FARMFEST! 🌾
The QCWA Virtual Branch has been lucky enough to receive a shared stall space at FARMFEST 2026, and we’re looking for a few members or supporters who might like to help out across the event.
📅 2–4 June 2026
📍 Toowoomba
Whether you can spare a couple of hours or a larger chunk of the day, we’d love the help. It’s a great excuse for a day out, a wander around FARMFEST, and a chance to help spread the word about our growing Virtual Branch community.
Volunteers helping on the stall for several hours will receive free entry to the event.
If you’re interested, please send us a message with the day/s you may be available

From Brisbane to Cape York… and now all the way across to Perth 🌏👣
What started as a simple 10,000 Steps challenge back in March 2025 has turned into something pretty incredible. Together, we’ve now “walked” the equivalent distance from Brisbane to Cape York — reaching the northernmost point of mainland Australia in January 2026 — and kept right on going across the country to Perth.
Every step represents women showing up for themselves, their health, and each other. Some steps were taken on station tracks, some on town footpaths, some on a walking holiday, some between work, kids, meetings, farms, study and everything else life throws at us.
And while we might not physically walk side by side, there’s certainly been plenty of friendly (but fierce!) competition along the way 😄
Safe to say the app has been checked more than once a day, the leaderboard watched closely, and there’s been no shortage of “just going for one more lap around the house” to sneak ahead. But that’s the beauty of it — we spur each other on, celebrate each other’s wins, and keep each other moving.
8,000+ kilometres later… we’re still going 💜

These FREE online classes are designed specifically for rural Queenslanders, with no experience needed and plenty of flexibility for all ages and abilities.

Not all health conversations happen in a clinic — sometimes it starts with simply knowing what to look for.
Sepsis is this year’s QCWA Health Awareness Initiative. It can develop quickly from an infection, and early action can make all the difference.
Take a moment to learn the signs — it could save a life.

What a wonderful thing to see
Well done to Gabriella from the Virtual QCWA Branch for her impressive healthy cafe at the Cooloola Coast Community Day 👏👏 Gabriella had a variety of our healthy baked goods available including the carrot and pineapple cake, mango and pineapple fruit cake and banana and blueberry loaf - YUM! 👩🍳
It was great to see so much interest in the Country Kitchens display, as well as so many people keen to try our recipes!! Well done to Gabriella for all her hard work in setting up the cafe, and for all of her work on the day! She's an absolute superstar 🤩
