Dan likes his Bircher. He swears by the stuff. Which is why we guess we have Bircher Muesli on the menu.

But, with all respect to the Danster, Bircher is quite a hard thing to get excited about. “Diner posts riveting stuff about muesli”, said no one ever.

So we thought let’s liven things up. And ole Google delivered.

Turns out Dan’s pet favourite was developed around 1900 by a Dr Maximilian Bircher-Brenner for patients in his Swiss sanitarium and “it is still a very popular breakfast throughout Switzerland and Germany”. As it is in Brighton too bud.

So there you go.

Someone told us that they didn’t know we served salads here at Royale. Which is fair enough as we haven’t really told anyone.

So if you like the green stuff, or the grainy stuff. We got you covered.

And you can add protein if you want. But best not to if you’re a vegetarian.
