A day full of spring cleaning, with my littlest sidekick by my side the whole day and then some zucchini bites for the week ahead.

It's been 7 days since the other half went to Queensland for work...

And it's becoming a curse 🤣

The day after Brodie left, I came down with some 24 hour stomach bug, and then Noah started teething with a sky high temp!

All whilst trying to navigate a new role at work - coincidence?!

So we're week two, and I'm cautiously optimistic it's gonna be a better week!

The new fireplace is in, woods getting delivered tonight (fingers crossed!) and food shopping was delivered yesterday - so that means a good week right?!?!

Taking the kids somewhere doesn't always need to be paid for or expensive.

Here are my top 5 places/activities around Bendigo I take the boys when funds are tight, or I simply don't want to pay:

♥️ Lake Weeroona - number 1 spot as there is a huge playground, plus the lake to walk around at the end/beginning. It has a fun splash area for during the hotter months & also fully fenced so no worries about your kids leaving your sight

♥️ Eaglehawk Playspace - a fun area for kids of all ages. Have a large fenced area for babies and toddlers, and also a larger area with slides, swings, and tunnels for the older kids. This area also has a lake for those small boat enthusiasts

♥️ Parkys Place Centre - a great indoor space of slides, climbing activities & a small seperate area for babies and newborns. This place also has a separate area for dining which includes microwaves, kettles and more.

♥️ Long Gully Splash Park - this park area can be utilised all year round with a slide and other fun activity space. The splash park opens the warmer months and consists of lots of play activity with water involved. Great for helping cool the kids down.

♥️ Marong Rec Reserve - this area consists of a footy oval, netball courts, cricket nets and also sand on the Trotting track. Take a football, scooters and/or bikes and some sand castle equipment. These amenities also include covered spaces for if it rains.

All these spots can be utilised for free, but also allow for creative minds to run wild. Spend 10 min or an hour and let your little ones burn some energy for free ✌🏼

It's time...

Move..

Did you know if you move your body for just 30 minutes a day can improve cardiovascular health, help strengthen bones and muscles, help with weight management, improve mood, enhance cognitive function, relieve stress and more.

Whether it be a simple walk/run or other exercises such as squats, lunges and more can help the above!

So get that 30 min each day to move :)

As I sit here, with kids crawling all over me, the house a mess - even though I cleaned it all yesterday, hearing mum more times than I can count, I wonder where I lost myself.

Was it during baby number one? Or number two? Or had I lost myself before kids even came into the picture?

My hair is curly... The worst post partum hair loss I've experienced and bags under my eyes. The girl who used to have straight hair all the time with the sparkle in her eyes... That's well and truly dulled now.

I have been awake many times during the night for over 4 years now, with only 1 actual sleep in whilst the kids got minded by someone else.

Every morning I am the main parent up, feeding the children, playing with them, entertaining them whilst the rest of the house sleeps

I am literally a shell of a person. I have no life in me. So this is my rock bottom.. I don't think I can go any further than this. So now it's time to climb back up, get my shine back, my pink, my smile and laughter. To feel better from the inside out.

So let's do this. Let's get the colour back and be the best version of myself, whilst doing the best that I can, with what I have!

Here's to financial stability, here's to a healthier mindset and physical body. Here's to smiling more than I'm yawning! Here's to being me again!!
