NVSLifestyles is a non for profit organisation with the intention of raising funds to build Safehaven lodge which is a proposal to attain a reasonable size piece of land spanning over several hectares of serine land. The funds raised will also be put to developing buildings that will house a number of clients seeking a new life filled with serenity, clarity and direction. This will set the settings for a therapeutic community which will use professional staff ranging from psychologists, counselors and psychotherapists to ensure that the clients have the best opportunity to get the appropriate care and direction in order to progress through to the next stages of their lives. In order to attain funds NVSlifestyles will use Crazy Cow Beef Jerky as a catalyst to raise revenue to help build the foundations of Safehaven lodge. Crazy Cow is a product I have been making for about 15 years. This product is absolutely delicious and I have quite a few personal customers. I decided that enough is enough. This product speaks for itself and it’s a great way to build it whilst at the same time giving me the opportunity to give back to the community as I’m grateful for having the chance to turn my life around due to the fact that there was the appropriate facilities to provide me the care and support I needed to transcend in my life to a happy, successful and fulfilling life that is evolving each day. I’m truly blessed! For the most part of my life I have played the victim of childhood abuse. As it turns out this gave me justification to abuse my body with drugs and alcohol for 28 years. I had attempted su***de several times. At this stage I had enough and came to the realization I needed help as had so much to live for. I decide to ask for help, this came to me in the form of rehabilitation in a therapeutic community in the south of Western Australia. This was the turning point in my life. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a recovering drug addict and alcoholic and there is not a single day that goes by where I think about reverting to my old ways. I have found that loving myself, living life and inspiring people is my medication for sobriety. Did you know that in Western Australia, the largest state in Australia there is only 5 rehabilitation centres in which there is a waiting list of up to 8 weeks. People seeking help are being turned away. During this time people are committing su***de, dying of drug overdose all because there is clearly not enough resources to facilitate and help those in need. Our government just turns a blind eye! Someone needs to rise above and help. I want people to know that there is hope and a greater life than the one that is experienced when living a distorted life under the influence of drugs and alcohol. I know! I’m living it. Since spending roughly 6 months learning about myself and discovering the reasons behind my behaviours, I completed my program and stayed a little longer to learn more about what makes me, ‘me’. I decided it was time to come back into society to continue to grow. With the right and appropriate support I, not only stayed clean for as long as I have, I have managed to gain entry into Australia’s Top University Edith Cowan University to obtain A Bachelors of arts in Psychology and Counselling. I have also just been offered a place at ECU to continue my studies in the masters program of Psychotherapy. You see, all this I am doing is to give back to the world as I was given a second chance at life. I am grateful and thankful for all that I am and for what I have been given. This is why I am creating this non for profit organisation that will help me help people suffering addiction and other mental health issues. This product will be a self-sustaining and charitable organization dedicated and serving a higher purpose whilst promoting sobriety. So Peeps!
