It’s no secret children learn through play. Threading boards can stimulate creativity as part of this play. It’s a great sensory experience and allows children the freedom to choose patterns and designs to make their creations

The action of threading the string into the holes helps:

Improve fine motor skills, strengthening the muscles of the fingers and thumbs (perfect for pencil grip).

Increase concentration and patience as children complete their board.

Improves bilateral coordination (using both sides of the body at the same time).

Prepare kids for mathematical concepts like length, measurements, counting and patterns.

Develops hand and eye co-ordination. As your child gets more skilled they might like to add beads to their threading.
