The SES is hard at work every day to help those that need it most. Being a part of the Enfield Unit has been a dream come true, where having the ability to help people, build exciting skills and making life long friends is something worth cherishing. Enfield SES had the absolute pleasure of visiting South Australian Metropolitan Fire Service Station 20, home to MFS HQ, a number of specialty fire/rescue appliances, and the dispatch and communications centre for SES, CFS, and MFS.

We learnt Station 20 is the largest operating fire station in the southern hemisphere.

Crews toured a pumper appliance and Adelaide 204, the specialty Technical Rescue Appliance. We also received a presentation about the call-taking and dispatch process, along with a tour of the communications room.
