โ๏ธComet C/2025 R3 PANSTARRS appears in the southern hemisphere evening sky after its recent closest approach to the Sun. It is expected to be visible to the naked eye from late April through early May then quickly fade. Look for it in the west after sunset. Binoculars are recommended to follow it for the first half of May. Smartphone photos are worth trying. C/2025 R3 is visitor from the distant Oort Cloud in a 160,000 year orbit.
