Adelaide University Solar Racing Team - AUSRT
The Adelaide University Solar Racing Team (AUSRT) is a group of final year engineering students who devote their year to technically developing or improving the university solar racing car named Lumen. The team competes in the biennial Bridgestone World Solar Challenge (BWSC), a global event where teams from across the globe race in a 3000 km journey from Darwin to Adelaide on nothing but solar power. March Highlight: Our partnership event with Nylastex! 🤝
AU Solar Racing thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Nylastex, where they graced us with a cheeky BBQ and the opportunity to once again talk about everyone's favourite topic, solar racing!
We were also lucky enough to have Adam give us a tour of Nylastex's facilities. What an honour it was to witness their manufacturing up close, especially seeing the machine that built Lumen III’s mould!
A massive thank you to Adam and the team at Nylastex, for not only having us but for your support of our team. Without your work in producing Lumen III's mould, we wouldn't be where we are today.
We look forward to continuing to work with you and appreciate your support in our team's racing & engineering journey.
Shout out/credit to Gavin who once again has provided us with some extraordinary shots from the day! 🔥
