Those were the last words he said to me 🥺

On Saturday, I left my apartment for the gym. Door locked. Phone in pocket. Keys in hand. ✅✅✅

But in the lift, I fumbled. My keys slipped… straight through the crack into the elevator shaft.

FFS.

With building management closed until Monday, my brain went into “blue sky” overdrive:

💡 Hotels I could book
💡 Flights I could catch
💡 How I could spend two days in nothing but gym clothes

But after a deep breath or two, the obvious answer was far simpler…

One phone call to a locksmith.

He was a legend. The best $220 I’ve spent in a while. Although I hope I never see him again either 😉

When pressure hits, we tend to leap to reactive solutions – and when we do, we can shut ourselves out of the simplest way forward.

Stop. Pause. Breathe.

It’s about responding, not reacting.

And sometimes, that’s the very thing that gets us through the next door.
