Leaving your home is always hard, but for Antwanette and her family it was a matter of safety. They left Syria to escape the war, seeking peace and opportunities to live a full life. Finding Adelaide, they thought it the most beautiful and one of the safest cities.

"I used to attend every week and then heard about the Boost program, and they provided me a lot of support " says Antwanette.

A skilled Sous Chef at a popular Adelaide restaurant, Antwaneet has used her natural cooking talents to contribute to her family’s income while learning the ins and outs of running a commercial food business. Immensely creative, she also has a natural flair for entrepreneurship and has already launched a few side hustles, including My Aleppo Kitchen , bringing a taste of home and sharing it with her new community.
