🚲 Have your say on the future of e-scooters, e-bikes and other devices in South Australia.

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport is seeking feedback on the laws that apply to e-bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and other personal mobility devices.

Do you think the current laws are working? 🛹

Or are changes are needed to make sure they’re fit for purpose, safe for everyone, and enforceable?

Share your feedback through the Department’s surveys and help shape the future of these transport options.

🛴 You can find more information about the current regulations and the consultation on YourSAy 👉 www.yoursay.sa.gov.au/pmd-ebike-rules-review

Surveys close 16 August 2016.

Photos from YACSA's post 26/06/2026

YACSA’s regional tour continued this week with Senior Project Officer, Doug Werchon and Policy Officer, Georgia Thain, heading to Mount Gambier.

We had the opportunity to connect with people from across schools and youth, community and mental health services, and hear about local demands and solutions.

Along with headspace Mount Gambier’s youth reference group, we also got the chance to meet with two young leaders – Jazmin Bingham, who was a candidate for the SA Voice to Parliament in the region during the 2026 elections, and Jess Tresidder, who was part of our Young Voices, Bright Futures program earlier in the year.

Some key themes from our conversations:

📈 Growing demand for mental health, health, housing and other youth services continues to exceed local capacity.
📋 Greater opportunities and support are needed for young people to develop life skills, confidence and independence.
🌏 Effective programs and services reflect the unique needs of regional communities, not just metropolitan areas.
📚 Better pathways for young people to pursue opportunities aligned with their passions, without relying on extraordinary initiative and persistence.
🚗 Perception that career opportunities are limited unless you move to a major city, creating a difficult choice for young people who have strong connections to their community.

Thank you to everyone we had the opportunity to speak with on this trip, we look forward to continuing the work with you.
