Mel is one of our specialist support coordinators who has left a bit of wiggle room in her week for some social work participants. You can learn a bit more about her here 👇

I am a qualified Social Worker with 10+ years’ experience working in various areas including Specialised
Primary Health Care (health, recovery and trauma safety services), Family Violence, Housing, and working
with vulnerable children.
I have experience supporting people and their families from a range of backgrounds including individuals
living with a disability, under the Guardianship of the Chief Executive (GOCE), Aboriginal and Torres Strait
Islander, those experiencing high risk Domestic and Family Violence, people involved with the Justice
system and LGBTQIA+ identifying. Using a trauma-informed, culturally safe, and strengths-based
approach, I focus on building trust, empowerment, and capacity building skills whilst providing a deep
understanding of risk, safety planning, and harm minimisation strategies.
I bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role. I have extensive experience in complex consultations with government and private providers.
I’m passionate about working alongside all participants, in particular youth, and I take pride in being someone they can count on—whether during a crisis, a breakthrough, or just to listen and laugh with along
the journey.

Meet Joseph 👋
At Here2Home, we’re incredibly grateful to have Joseph as part of our team.
Joseph is deeply values-orientated in everything he does. He leads with integrity, fairness and a genuine commitment to doing what’s right — not what’s easy. His approach is always grounded in respect.
What really stands out though is his kindness. Joseph shows up with patience, compassion and a calm presence that makes people feel safe and supported. He believes that good support starts with good relationships — and that people deserve to be seen, heard and valued.
We’re proud to have someone who lives our values so consistently, and who brings heart into his work every single day. 💛

✨ Meet Tina – Our Intake Queen ✨
If spreadsheets had a soulmate, it would be Tina. 📊💙
Our incredible Intake Coordinator and a true A-player, Tina brings the perfect mix of precision, heart and calm to everything she does. She’s exceptional at what she does — organised, thorough, across every detail — and somehow still manages to make every participant feel genuinely heard and cared for.
Spreadsheets are her love language… but kindness is her superpower.
Behind every smooth intake, every well-structured plan and every seamless transition into supports — there’s Tina.
We are so lucky to have her on our team. 💫

✨ Tell Me Tuesday ✨
Tell us about a time you didn’t get what you wanted… but it turned out to be exactly what you needed.
Maybe a job fell through, a relationship ended, a house didn’t go through, or plans changed unexpectedly — and later you realised it led you somewhere better.
💬 What felt like a setback at the time?
💬 What did it lead to?
💬 What did you learn along the way?
Your story might be the hope someone else needs today 💛
