Last week, the Australian Fashion Council and R.M.Williams launched the National Manufacturing Strategy for Fashion & Textiles 2026–2036, the first of its kind in Australia.

The strategy outlines a 10-year plan focused on three key priorities: activating demand for Australian-made products, securing a skilled workforce, and accelerating advanced manufacturing.

At Silver Fleece, this is deeply aligned with the work we do every day. As a South Australian manufacturer, we see firsthand the importance of investing in local skills, supporting Australian-made production, and continuing to evolve our capabilities. This strategy represents a critical step forward in strengthening the future of our industry.

Once a colour is perfectly matched, the dyed wool is removed from the drum and transferred into tubs for further processing. Precision at every stage ensures consistency in every batch.
