Enjoyed running my "Performance Under Pressure" Workshop at Willunga Cricket Club this week. Great discussions on how to prepare for tough situations, and how to handle pressure during the game and get yourself back on track.

Did this for Cricket, but this information applies across all sports, team and individual, learning techniques and gaining tools to reduce anxiety and improve decision making.

Had a great time doing some Coach Consulting at Bridgwater CC helping with some drills and providing technical guidance.

As a Level 2 CA Coach I’m keen to help local clubs get access to my High Performance experience. John

Great fun helping Tatachilla Lutheran College Girls cricket team playing a game against Woodcroft College this morning. A great win for the Tatachilla girls.

Anyone interested in some 1 to 1 coaching please send me a message. John

This drill is good to show Bowlers the importance of a strong core and staying upright on delivery. If they fall to the side or bowl off the straight line then you can coach them in aligning front arm, bowling arm, head, front foot etc to go towards target.

Been working with a 12yo cricketer as he prepares for Nationals in November and his District Club games. We’ve been working on bowling different lengths, and being able to execute when under pressure at the death.

Got this message from his Mum

“I think the game strategy conversations and mind coaching you provide really helps him…he was given the death over on Sunday and did really well. I’m being a proud Mum but I think the pressure management coaching helped him cope.”

Love that my Performance Under Pressure Coaching approach is being embraced and people can see the benefits of doing more than just technical coaching.

Slight adjustment to the front arm for this young bowler. Focused him on pointing more at his target before pulling arm into ribs.

This helped with the second picture showing him moving more towards his target allowing for a better chance of good seam position and late swing. Photo on left was wear he dragged balls short and at the RH batters legs.
