🚫 Friday afternoon in the Unley kitchen, and the phone starts ringing.
It is the weekly rush of frantic, last-minute SOS calls. Another baker cancelled, the guest list suddenly doubled, or life simply got too busy and the birthday cake got forgotten. As a mum, my heart completely goes out to anyone in that panic, but the reality of artisan baking is that we just cannot rescue every weekend.
True edible art cannot be rushed. Because we handcraft every single tier onsite using our signature, premium Victoria sponge and smooth Swiss meringue buttercream, we do not have pre-made cakes sitting around. We do not do heavy mud cakes or basic supermarket sponges. Everything is made entirely to order, balanced with natural flavours, and crafted to be intentionally less sweet.
Our lovely community of Adelaide mums and families usually books their milestone celebrations 1 to 2 weeks in advance. We send out a detailed written confirmation to recap every single element, locking in our production schedule to ensure every child's cake gets the absolute perfection it deserves.
