From laughter to silence, from sharing stories to sitting with the Lord 🤍

Our GTG - Getaway to God Retreat was a weekend full of grace, filled with talks, powerful testimonies, quiet journaling, creating sacred heart mosaics, walking through the Stations of the Cross, visiting the shrine in devotion to Mother Mary, a peaceful nature stroll, Sunday Mass, and beautiful moments of simply being together.

Grounded in our theme of being rooted in Christ, we reflected on “Be still and know that I am God” (Psalm 46:10). As a way to stay anchored, we embraced spiritual disciplines throughout the weekend: praying the daily Rosary, sitting with Scripture through Lectio Divina, pausing with the Angelus at 6PM, 12AM//PM, and honouring the Divine Mercy at 3PM 🌿

And the connection didn’t stop there, outside of the program we continued to grow in sisterhood through cooking meals together, marina hangs, board games, karaoke, and late-night storytelling 💫

It was made even more special celebrating International Women’s Day (8th March) together, especially through our affirmation placements, which was such a powerful and beautiful moment 💐

A heartfelt thank you to Fr Julius and Fr Dominick, and to the St Peter' Parish at Normanville, your generosity and warm welcome made this experience truly special ✨

Finally, to each of my sisters in Christ - thank you for such an unforgettable weekend; it was made all the more special because it was shared with you. So grateful for this time of sisterhood, for the space to reflect and grow, and for the reminder of the incredible Catholic community we belong to 🩷

Getaway to God (GTG) ✨

We’re so excited to announce the return of Getaway to God for the second time, a beautiful MatChat Sisters retreat weekend set aside for prayer, rest, and sisterhood.

Join us over the long weekend from 6-9 March for a peaceful time away to reconnect with God, grow in faith, and share meaningful moments together with other women. It’s a special opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend intentional time in prayer, reflection, and community.

Making the weekend even more special, we’ll also be celebrating International Women's Day together on 8 March. 💐
