Schubert wrote over 600 lieder. Students from Austrian music universities are recording all of these lieder as part of a major collaborative project. Over four days of recording in March, I had the pleasure of recording the first part of this project at the MUK Vienna with students who had been wonderfully supervised and prepared by KS Birgid Steinberger (vocals) and Ralf Heiber (Lied accompaniment)
