What does gender equality look like in practice?

At the OPEC Fund, it means embedding inclusion into development projects that strengthen women’s economic participation, leadership and entrepreneurship. 🤝

Between 2018 and mid-2025, 35 operations with gender-disaggregated reporting benefitted nearly 750,000 women.

These projects span sectors including agriculture, education, finance, transport and infrastructure, demonstrating how gender mainstreaming can drive stronger development outcomes. 🌐
