The three live activations of Choir of Kin – Photosynthesizer present new compositions by Tony Wagner. On the 16th of April 2026, Karolina Preuschl, Susanna Gartmayer, and Tony Wagner engage in an intuitive and responsive interplay with the Photosynthesizer, shaping a shared listening experience – an emergent Choir of Kin. 

Susanna Gartmayer studied painting and printmaking at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and has been active as a bass clarinetist and composer in various fields of experimental music since the early 2000s. She is both a member and founder of numerous ensembles for improvised and organized music.

Karo Preuschl’s performances are raw, witty, and full of surprises. Playful punk on the modular synthesizer, she improvises with electronics, noise, and vocal experiments at the edges of the frequency spectrum.

Tony Wagner (he/they) is a musician and artist working at the intersection of avant-garde composition, experimental sound and trans-disciplinary performance. His practice encompasses solo compositions under his own name and under the monikers Tony Renaissance and Bogland, collaborative projects with the duo Snake Boots and the collective Transformative Narratives, as well as original scores for film, theater, and performance.

Welcome, Carlos Monleón
at STUDIO DAS WEISSE HAUS!

from March 30 to April 20, 2026

We are pleased to welcome Carlos Monleón as the incoming Artist-in-Residency at STUDIO DAS WEISSE HAUS. 

The residency takes place in the framework of the project Parliament of Streams. This project is supported in part by a grant from Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), a state agency.

Carlos Monleón explores digestion, metabolism, and evolution as processes of exchange, circulation, and assimilation.  Through sculptural, sonic, and participatory works, such as the “edible opera” Harmony (2012) and the public platform Sauna (2017), he stages settings where taste, scent, and sound become tools for collective sensing. His recent project River Breathing voices the Ebro River’s fragility through data, sound, and the figure of the naiad. Monleón’s work is grounded in a collaborative, research-based, and multidisciplinary practice.
