IoT is already part of commercial building automation.

Modern buildings combine more technologies than ever.

Alongside established technologies such as KNX, BACnet, Modbus and DALI, we're seeing MQTT, REST APIs, cloud services and increasingly devices originating from the consumer and IoT world.

But adding more connected devices doesn't automatically create a smarter building.
