has developed itself into a formidable force that can represent Nepali interest globally. Keeping this in mind, the Government of Nepal has given legal status to Nepali Diaspora by promulgating Non-Resident Nepali Act 2064. For practical purposes Nepali citizens living outside South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member countries or the People of Nepali Origin (PNO) holding foreign nationality other than SAARC nations are considered as NRNs. The National Coordination Councils (NCC) serve as the NRNA organization’s global network of its chapters, which are currently established in 60 countries around the world. NRN-Austria is the national coordination council of NRNA in Austria, which was established with the primary concern of promoting the common interests of its members in Austria and Nepal.
