Sunrise Devotion and Breakfast

There is something so powerful about devotion at sunrise. As the sun slowly rises and pushes away the darkness, it serves as a reminder of what God calls us to be in this world, LIGHT. In Matthew 5:14, God reminds us, “You are the light of the world.” Light brings hope, direction, warmth, and peace, and this morning’s devotion beautifully reflected that truth.

We are so thankful for Joelei and Charlei for their heartfelt sharing, and for Ms. Sopaima for finishing the devotion with such encouragement and wisdom. The message was simple, yet deeply needed, in a world filled with darkness, negativity, and uncertainty, we are called to choose goodness, kindness, and Christ-like love.

Our middle school teachers emphasized the importance of being the good in this world. Not waiting for others to make a difference, but understanding that even the smallest act of kindness, honesty, compassion, and faith can shine brighter than we realize.

Ms. Ruth wrapped up the morning in such a special way as she went down the line speaking on the growth she has seen in each student and sharing the prayers she carries for them. It was a beautiful reminder that growth does not happen overnight. Through devotion, prayer, guidance, and God’s grace, each child is being shaped into who they are meant to become.

As the sun rose this morning, so did another reminder that every new day is an opportunity to reflect God’s light. May we continue to devote our hearts to Him and allow His light to shine through us in all that we do.
