Ancient TRIBE

There is something tricky I would like to explain/discuss: Exclusivity as a dj. (Read till the end for my personal conclusion :p )

Since a few years, more and more parties/festivals ask exclusivity when I play there. This means basically you can only play for them in country X or Y for a few months/half a year. Even tho I understand why this exists, I am very dissapointed in this very capitalistic approach of music. As a dj the goal is to spread the music as much as possible, so we shouldnt limit this in any way. Wasnt freedom the basis of this music in a far past? On top of that it is possible to play different and unique sets on every festival... I have literally over 20.000 tracks I can play. Every festival has its own style, vibe, image and crowd, and thus, you can always give them something different.

After thinking about this for a while I decided for myself I wont surrender to this way of thinking any longer.

Or you trust that I will do something unique for you, and you are ok with the idea I want to spread the music to the maximum... Or its better you chose someone else :)
