This exhibition brings together the rare archive of the photographer Barry Lewis — documented in “Albania in Isolation” (1990) and “Albania in Transition” (1991) — with responses from a generation of Albanian artists from Pressura – A Nomadic Art Colony. Through the cinematic structure of “shot/reverse shot,” this exhibition witnesses a conversation across history in dialogues with the insider’s counter-gaze of other invited albanian artists.
