Hello dear fellow travelers,

We would like to share two important travel updates regarding Afghanistan travel procedures:

1️⃣ E-Visa Exit Update
Although travelers holding Afghan e-visas were previously informed that they could exit the country through land borders, several recent cases have shown otherwise. Some travelers were returned from border crossings and instructed to return to Kabul, as border officials are currently not permitting e-visa holders to leave the country by land due to ongoing technical issues.

For the time being, we strongly recommend that travelers plan their departure from Afghanistan through Kabul International Airport to avoid complications.

2️⃣ Travel Permit Update in Mazar-e-Sharif
Travelers are currently unable to obtain travel permits/documents in Mazar-e-Sharif without a licensed tour guide. To avoid delays or issues with permissions, please make sure to arrange an official guide in advance.
