Vacancy for the position of Business Development Executive (Business Developer)

The duty of the business developer is to help in the business growth. His/her priority is to assist the companies acquire new customers and sell additional services to existing ones; this means the role is a crucial one for any business with the ambition to expand or the necessity to diversify its clientele.

A business developer has the following responsibilities:

Identifying new donors
Identify new grants and/or new projects
Develop quotes, solicited/unsolicited proposals and concept notes and submit them to donors
Negotiate by phone, email or in person
Attend the meetings with donors and appear in the BAFO meetings.
Develop goals for the team and ensure they are met
Maintaining fruitful relationships with existing donors/clients
Research organisations to identify new leads and potential new markets
Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives
Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
The business developer must keep record of his/her works and also attend the conferences and meetings and must be sure to keep the clients/customers happy. Business developer is also obligated to write reports and provide feedback to company management about what is and is not working.

Job Requirements:
The candidates must have the following criteria:
Some degree in business and/or marketing
Socially adept
Strong communication and IT fluency
Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems
In-depth knowledge of the potential donors and current market
The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent time management and organisation
