In collaboration with Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS), the talk was about “How Mathematics Can be Helpful in Bio-medical Engineering.”
The speaker was our very own professor from the Math department, Dr. Youssef Belhamadia.
Two main applications that were presented: cryosurgery, which is a minimally invasive surgical technique applied for the treatment of various types of cancers, and the electrical wave that causes the contraction of the human heart.
