We are currently seeking to recruit an Engineering Manager (EM) for our Dubai office.

The EM will lead an engineering team and be responsible for the inspection, design, analysis and development of existing and new steel structures and their foundations.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop, manage, and continually improve a small but extremely active engineering department comprising of Structural Engineers and CAD operators.
• To manage staffing, technical performance and development of the engineering team.
• To work under the direction of the Principal Structural Engineer.
• To represent Jaggard Engineering to potential clients, clients and authorities.
• To work closely with other Jaggard managers and team members to provide integrated and, where required, innovative solutions.

Preferred qualifications/experience/capabilities
The candidate shall have an appropriate engineering degree and, ideally, demonstrate/possess experience and capability in the following :

• Design and analysis of steel structures, principally lattice steel towers and (guyed) masts.
• Design & analysis of reinforced concrete foundations, principally reinforced concrete rafts, pad & column foundations and piles.
• Engineering software packages such as MsTower, MicroStran, AutoCAD and Advance Steel. Experience in comparable packages will be considered as indication of suitability.
• Management or leadership of an engineering team.
• A flexible and adaptive approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
• Strong self-motivation and the ability to motivate team members.
• Strong understanding of the health & safety responsibilities of Engineers, draughtspersons and technicians.
• Ability (or willingness to train) to work at height, including roped access.
• Ability to survey, record, interpret and assess existing structures.
• Strong understanding of the structural steelwork fabrication process and associated standards.
• Good understanding of siteworks.
• Good understanding of the role and application of Quality Management.
• Good understanding of sales & marketing and contractual matters.
• Good regional and international market knowledge.

We are looking to expand our staff with a Project Engineer of at least 5 years of experience (Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering focus).

Position Description:
• Project management of small, medium and large scale projects.
• Understanding technical and commercial requirement of the contract, ordering of materials, expediting suppliers, document submissions.
• Project cost control.
• Work with Clients and ensure smooth and correct project completion.

Qualifications:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Structural, Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• Valid UAE Driver’s license.
• At least 5 years on-site experience in the Middle East

Compensation will be based on your level of experience.
