Last week I had the privilege to do a little help with the World WPC/AWPC Championship in Cairo,Egypt. First, what a location, having Giza Pyramids infront of you everyday. The overwhelming almost 700 athletes could itself explain the days we had. They were long but so rewarding to see all gender, ages and nationalities get together to compete and achieve their best results.
As always, for us is also the way to meet our friends and make new ones.
I’m so thankful to the Egyptian Powerlifting federation specially General Mahmoud Barakat and Russian WPC Federation and to give me a chance for the second year to be part of them and do my small part. Big shout out to my coach who was the first reason to join this event.
Big thanks also to the international Egyptian judges for their fair job and also to the spotters who did an amazing job keeping the event moving smoothly.
Grateful to all athletes and coaches for their kind words through the event and congratulations to the champs for breaking so many world records.
Lastly, to the team of young and amazing translators we had, cannot thank you enough for your amazing work. For sure you all went way out of your expected way to support the event. We appreciate you.
Cannot wait for another year and another successful event!
