The most important template for the development of the child is a nurturing relationship with a mutually responsive adults.

That means anything that you do that undermines your relationship with the child will undermine the child’s development because it will make the child insecure.

An insecure child is in defensive fight and flight mode, in which mode they don’t learn anything.

Through my recent travels, away from home and back again, one of the things that have resonated strongly is the importance of a tribe and the people you choose to surround yourself with.

(1) to recognize the nature of your being
(2) to express the qualities that are inherent in your being in life”

In my quest to work on both these purposes, I’ve find that I am at my best when my surroundings are accepting, non-judgmental, supporting and loving of all my imperfections and flaws.

This makes a huge difference when exploring the deepest shadows and crevices of our heart… to be held in a safe loving compassionate way.
