Brand mark that wasn’t chosen
•
Quick background: it was meant to be a supporting mark for the nail and beauty salon. It was a rendition of a nail and nail art and it was intended to be used in packaging, socials, and small carriers of information.
•
The client went with another direction, which was more aligned with their goals. But I may have gotten too attached to this little emblem mark, so sharing it here as it deserves some eyes 🥰

An ode to color and pattern pattern 🎭
•
I love patterns and I think they are such a great addition to visual identity apart from color. I wanted to explore how some of the most trivial patterns behave with different colors. These ideas are pulled from my head and refined to give a specific vibe. Here are the mood boards I created as a part of this experiment:
01 Blue Gingham and Cherry
It gives all the nostalgic and playful feelings. There’s something both whimsical and grounded here, like old-fashioned confidence. It evokes diners, road trips, and the kind of joy that doesn’t take itself too seriously.
02 Houndstooth and Lavender
Slightly architectural and edgy with dreamy and melancholic notes. It feels like a specific kind of sophisticated loneliness: cool, editorial, and emotional. Like rainy city mornings and effortless style that still feels introspective.
03 Zebra and Moss
This feels full of tension. While animal motifs place it in the primal world, green moss and matcha powder pull it back toward something earthy and meditative. It’s a striking combination that balances between energy and stillness.
Every brand is different, and I wanted to communicate that visuals hold the power to influencing the audience towards a specific mood and emotions.
