You keep complaining that Dubai is “too much.”
But you underestimate what it’s doing to your life.

Too crowded. Too hot. Too much traffic. Too dusty.
Always chasing, never sleeping. All about hustle culture.

No matter which room I walk into, this narrative keeps coming up.
People keep pointing out Dubai’s flaws.

And honestly? I think it’s because many just got too comfortable.

They stopped seeing it through the lens of opportunity.

All it takes is 2–3 years in Dubai to completely transform your life.
I’m saying this from my own experience.

Your elevates.
Your living standard upgrades.
Your shifts from “I can’t” to “Let’s do it.”

Things that once felt unreachable, almost unreal, suddenly become your daily routine.

Yes, it’s because of your hard work.
Moving here with big dreams.
Executing step by step.

But it’s also because of Dubai.

A city that rewards people who take their lives into their own hands.

The problem isn’t the city.

It’s that most people look at it from the position they’re already sitting in.

They don’t look at it with the same hungry, dreamy eyes they had a few years ago.

What once felt extraordinary slowly becomes “normal.”
And many stop appreciating it.

Personally, I love walking the same places I visited right after moving to Dubai.

Back then, everything felt intimidating and exciting at the same time.

Now it all feels a bit obvious.
The wow factor fades.

But when you zoom out and look at the journey you’ve been through,
you start appreciating your everyday routine again.

I don’t know if I’m saying this because it’s winter and we can all breathe,
or because I worked from home this week and didn’t sit in traffic :D

But I’ve fallen back in love with .
And I genuinely love how this city keeps shaping me, year after year.

What’s your favorite thing about Dubai? ♻️

The struggle of skipping 90% to focus on 10%.
Yes, it’s progress - but let’s be honest, it feels like FOMO.

“Oh, you’re that girl joining all the conferences” - they used to say about me.

And it was true. I used to be everywhere.

Posting 1 video per day on my socials, joining every crypto event in Dubai, popping up from every corner - interviews, features, collabs.
But recently, it changed.

I gave up on being everywhere to focus on the key goals I want to accomplish this year.

Since joining ADI, my goals are much bigger - and they require more time and effort to see visible results.

The simple truth is: when you want something, you have to be ready to give up something else.
And that’s what I did.

I skip 80% of events I’m invited to - focusing on the top 20% that bring real value and positioning.
I quit posting on Instagram daily and focus only on meaningful LinkedIn posts that move the needle.
I politely decline 90% of collabs and features - keeping only the ones that truly align.

While all this sounds wise, I have to be honest - it costs me a lot of FOMO every single day! :D

Yes, I know I’m doing the right thing.
Different periods of life require different goals.

But every time I skip an event, a feature, or a speaking opportunity - and then see my friends there - I get that 10-second thought:
“Am I making the right decision? Shouldn’t I be more out there?”

Trusting the process and your intuition is the key.

But tell me - how do you deal with FOMO when you’re staying focused? 🤔
