God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- 1 John 5:11-12
PRAY WITHOUT SEIZING FOR THE END IS NEAR
This is what God showed to John on the island of mount Patmos on what will happen in future
9 “Listen, then, if you have ears! 10 Whoever is meant to be captured will surely be captured; whoever is meant to be killed by the sword will surely be killed by the sword. This calls for endurance and faith on the part of God's people.”
11 Then I saw another beast, which came up out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb's horns, and it spoke like a dragon. 12 It used the vast authority of the first beast in its presence. It forced the earth and all who live on it to worship the first beast, whose wound had healed. 13 This second beast performed great miracles; it made fire come down out of heaven to earth in the sight of everyone. 14 And it deceived all the people living on earth by means of the miracles which it was allowed to perform in the presence of the first beast. The beast told them to build an image in honor of the beast that had been wounded by the sword and yet lived. 15 The second beast was allowed to breathe life into the image of the first beast, so that the image could talk and put to death all those who would not worship it. 16 The beast forced all the people, small and great, rich and poor, slave and free, to have a mark placed on their right hands or on their foreheads. 17 No one could buy or sell without this mark, that is, the beast's name or the number that stands for the name.
18 This calls for wisdom. Whoever is intelligent can figure out the meaning of the number of the beast, because the number stands for the name of someone. Its number is 666.
How Can You Be Set Free From Shame?
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will He keep His anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His steadfast love toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does He remove our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:8-12)
It was just something little... I had said I would sew a button on a shirt for a friend, but I had that shirt for a long time and still hadn't sewed the button on. I was embarrassed when I saw a friend and apologized. The friend smiled and said, "You are forgiven!" What freedom I felt from those words! The shame I had felt completely melted away.
It has been said that “you don’t own it until it costs you something.” My friend didn't have access to a favorite shirt for weeks. That "cost" him, and yet he forgave me. But what if it had been a serious offense? What if you were asked to forgive a serious offense?
We Are Better Together
God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as He chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. (1 Corinthians 12:18-20)
In sport, teams train together for years. A healthy team values everyone, knows their individual roles, has a shared goal, and gives it their all for the dream of a championship. God builds teams of people who love each other, represent Jesus in this world, and are on mission together to serve the nations. Are you a part of any teams?
