Zambia joins the rest of the world on 1 December 2022 to commemorate World
AIDS Day. World AIDS Day presents an opportunity for the country to evaluate its
HIV response with a view to adapting more effective strategies as well as to show
support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have succumbed to
AIDS related death. Zambia will commemorate the event under the theme
'EQUALISE! CLOSING THE GAPS' This year's theme highlights the need for us as
a country to ensure that the Zambian people receive equal access to HIV prevention
and treatment services regardless of location, social, color, ethnicity, religious
background or any other status.
