We had an awesome time with our little Holmies at SOS Children’s School! We were invited to join Heart Educators and Lifeline/Childline Zambia to empower them with knowledge on their rights, types of abuse, and how to stay safe at home, school, and in their communities.

Getting to interact with these curious minds was the highlight of our day! At Holme, we’re all about being a friend to young people and supporting them every step of the way. 💜

The Amazing Mommies of Kamaila💜

Kamaila is a small community in Central Province, these incredible mums, many caring for children with special needs & neurological disorder have touched our hearts.

Last year we visited their beloved children’s school Sangwani, dreaming of making everyday life brighter & easier for their little ones.

At Hol‑me, we love our mothers just as much as our little “holmies” . That’s why we’re launching an inclusive Mothers Support Group—a safe, nurturing space just for YOU, amazing mums, to connect, share, and thrive!

Meet Our Holmies; Autism Advocacy Centre

Our great friends at Autism Advocacy Centre empower persons with Autism and Disabilities through Advocacy, Education and Community Engagement.

At AAC, the group has special educators that help our holmies grow and improve in their lives and conditions.

Meet Our Holmies, Sangwani Community School!

Sangwani is an inclusive primary school located in the central province of Zambia, 9 Kilometers off Great North Road, 22 Miles away from Lusaka the capital city.

The School is located in a small community called Kamaila has been running for 17 years, and currently has 150 students ranging from Nursery to Grade 4.

Sangwani has separated its students in 2 groups, group 1 being called the “typical students” this refers to children without disabilities and group 2, the Special Needs Group. Out of the 150 students, 35 of them belong to the second group. This group consists of Neurodivergent Students, Differently abled students, Intersex Students and Visual and Audio impaired students.

Mothers from the community spend the day at school with their children that have special needs so they are able to take care of their children as well as ensure they are safe as they walk back from school.

The School also runs a feeding program for its students through a garden run by the community and the mothers that accompany their children to school.

The beautiful school and holmies need our support in sustaining it and helping it grow.
