When this vehicle was brought in for regular oil change Service by the owner, it was under a referral by her good friend who happens to be our good Friend in business and day-to-day experiences of life; Little did we know that a regular oil change would become an overall cleanup Service.
Briefly, The owner just simply left her Vehicle with the keys in our hands jokingly encouraging us not to feast on her Muffler [Catalytic Converters]; otherwise why would one feel free to leave their expensive property in your hands after meeting you for the first time if they do not already trust & believe it'll be safe? In Attending to it, bonnet at 90⁰ open [typical of German vehicles], very thick sludge was noticed on the oil cap upon opening it and the immediate visible space through the oil filler mouth with the camshaft & camshaft cover covered in thick sludge, and from that moment everything went downhill, all evening plans thwarted because it was going to be a long night as the vehicle was brought in post 5.30pm. You do not want to know the condition the oil filter was in, No Sir.
Before anything else was to be done, we contacted the owner and informed her of what was found and possible troubles that would come with it, and what was required to restore and preserve it to run for the longest.. quite some time and work was invested in this one and it's one of our favourite works done on this German Machine; yes it was more eventful than what words and pictures would tell.
