Earlier today, at the launch of the Maharishi NextUp Institute of Technology (MNIT), our Group COO Collin Govender announced that we're the anchor tenant of MNIT.

MNIT is a demand-led, inner-city tech talent accelerator in the heart of Johannesburg's CBD. Our learnerships will flow through MNIT, with the ambition to grow a skills pool not just for us, but for the entire South African technology industry.

Together, we’re building a pipeline of world-class IT talent for South Africa, one deliberate choice at a time.

We’re proud to welcome the class of 2026 to our Ascent Bursary Programme.

Ascent supports family members of Altron employees pursuing IT qualifications - because investing in skills is one of the ways we .

Since launching in 2024, the programme has supported 23 bursars across seven operating companies, achieving a 100% pass rate. This year’s cohort of 14 reflects growing ambition, with more learners pursuing degrees and diplomas.

We’re also seeing bursars transition into careers within Altron, including Tswellang Machaka and Kgomotso Letswalo at Altron FinTech.
