Echoes of a New Beginning 💫
Our first SecretEATS of the year unfolded just as we imagined, intimate, familiar and filled with quiet magic.
Beneath the enduring branches of the Old Oak we gathered again in a space that feels like home, yet welcomed a new creative voice. Chef Leon van Deventer brought gentle reinvention to the table, honouring tradition while introducing thoughtful twists. Each course told a story through nostalgic flavours reimagined with warmth and precision.
Wines from Baccō Wine Estate in Paarl added elegance and depth, while L'Or Espresso coffee cocktails offered a refined welcome.
Conversation flowed, glasses clinked and strangers became friends. The magic lived not only on the plate but around the table.
A beautiful beginning and a reminder that when setting and company align, something extraordinary happens.

A Last Toast to Downton 🥂
This month, our Secret Cinema rolled out the red carpet for an exclusive pre-release screening of Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale - a farewell as grand and glittering as the Crawley estate itself.
In true SecretEATS style, guests slipped behind closed doors and into a world of elegance, whispers and indulgence.
Glasses clinked while our culinary conspirators served up period-inspired delights fit for royalty.
The film swept us back into the heart of Downton for one last time - with laughter, tears and a few gasp-worthy twists that left the room buzzing long after the credits rolled.
It was an evening of nostalgia, refinement and secrets well kept. The Crawleys may have bid their grand goodbye, but our Secret Cinema story is only just getting started…
