*GENERALS OF FAITH*... The list is on even today, and how I desire that I be one of them!

Hebrews 11:39-40Hebrews 11:32
[32]And what shall I say further? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah, of David and Samuel and the prophets,
[39]And all of these, though they won divine approval by [means of] their faith, did not receive the fulfillment of what was promised,
[40]Because God had us in mind and had something better and greater in view for us, so that they [these heroes and heroines of faith] should not come to perfection apart from us [before we could join them].

Every great man was once small, every standing man was once fallen and broken. One will never understand the grace of being great unless God allows them to witness their humble and small state. God will make us see our fallen state, not to discourage us but to make us understand that He is the power behind our standing.

2 Timothy 2:15
[15]Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved (tested by trial), a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing [rightly handling and skillfully teaching] the Word of Truth.
