🚨 MAJOR BUST: R500,000 COUNTERFEIT LIQUOR OPERATION SMASHED 🚨

SAPS have arrested six men (aged 22–36) for running an illegal alcohol manufacturing and distribution site in Stutterheim, Eastern Cape.
The Breakthrough:

Police intercepted a suspicious Nissan panel van on the N6 Wednesday evening. This led officers to a house in Entilini, where five more suspects were caught in the act of bottling and packaging counterfeit spirits branded as well-known labels.

The Seizure:
• Over R500,000 worth of illicit alcohol.
• R6,570 in cash.
• The site is believed to have been operating since 2025.

The suspects face charges under the Counterfeit Goods Act and the Liquor Act.

URGENT: Senior Police Officer Shot and Killed in Gqeberha

A senior police official, based in Mthatha, has been fatally shot in New Brighton, Gqeberha. The officer was traveling in an unmarked state vehicle when the incident occurred.

The officer was a known investigator in the region. SAPS and emergency services are responding to the scene.

Further details regarding the circumstances of the shooting are yet to be confirmed.

🚨 JUST IN: The Hawks have seized chemicals and detergents worth millions of rands at an informal settlement in Windmill Park, Boksburg.

Officials acted on a tip-off about a suspected illegal factory producing detergents and bubble bath products.

Among the items recovered were thick bleach, fabric softener, dishwashing liquid, foam bath, and ammonia-based cream cleaner.
