BREAKING NEWS: Alberton Husband Arrested After Wife's Body Found in Car Boot

JOHANNESBURG – In a shocking discovery, the body of a missing woman was found stuffed in the boot of her white BMW at the Bracken Square Shopping Centre in Brackenhurst on Saturday, 10 January 2026.

The victim, reported missing by a friend just the day before, was found with multiple stab wounds. The grim discovery was made after two men, hired by a stranger for an unrelated task, became suspicious of the vehicle and alerted authorities.

Police later confirmed the discovery of blood stains at the couple's residence, swiftly identifying the 42-year-old husband as the primary person of interest.

The Alberton South African Police Service (SAPS) tracked down and arrested the husband on the morning of Sunday, 11 January 2026.

He was scheduled to appear at the Alberton Magistrates Court today, Monday, 12 January 2026, facing a charge of murder and a potential charge of concealing a crime.

The investigation is ongoing.
