SCF was set up to create and support opportunities and jobs in South Africa. In audited documents the company supported more than 4000 jobs in South Africa and mitigated substantial quantities of CO2 emissions. In a story which will be familiar to all South Africans, upon winning a potential $24 million capital injection from the United Nations Green Climate Fund the company encountered significant unofficial interference by State Employees and therefore declined the capital. This has cost, and will cost thousands of jobs in a country that is starved of jobs, and will cost the environment through not mitigating the increase of greenhouse gases. This is a shame but a story that has repeated many times over as corrupt and incompetent State employees put their interests ahead of those they are supposed to Serve. Nkosi sikelel' Afrika
